Working closely with Jr. Designer/Web Developer extraordinaire, Jessica Paoli, I designed our Agency site to be single page and full of parallax animation. Degrading gracefully for devices without parallax support, the site also adapts in response to device/window size to maximize user experience.
The design itself matches our print collateral for a cohesive, integrated brand vision.
Following a thorough brand discovery, I designed this logo to reflect the “signature” personal attention Mark Nacht Insurance devotes to each of their clients. A website and full print identity – including business cards, letterhead, envelopes and pocket folder – was then delivered, completing the rebrand.
The company Holiday Card is always a design challenge, and in 2012 I pulled out all the stops. This card has 6 individual pieces and included die cuting, 4 folds, glueing and inserting. The final result, though, was definitely worth the work… and the total cost was under $2 a piece.
After receiving my BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Akron, I joined the design team at an integrated agency in Hudson, producing for web, print and video. The following summer, I was approached by a well known print studio downtown, and I accepted their offer. While there, I gained a fundamental understanding of print processes, and worked alongside an extremely creative team.
Next, I took a position at The Cleveland Clinic, working with the team tasked with their website redesign and marketing. While I enjoyed the focus on web design, I decided to leave the Clinic for the shorter commute offered by a similar position at American Greetings. While there, I eventually became head of their Email Marketing design team. Working closely with marketing directors, I oversaw a team of designers and developers tasked with the production of conversion-oriented emails, landing pages, and microsites.
In November 2010, I started at my current job with VividFront, an integrated agency that focuses on digital. Starting off as Senior Designer, I’ve since risen to the role of Creative Director. In this position, I’ve overseen web, print and email designs, crafted marketing strategies, and shaped brand visions.
In 2012, I also began teaching Photoshop and Graphic Design courses at Cleveland State University, as part of their Master’s Degree certification program.
